Summary
- Garbhshree does not require an account or sign-up.
- Everything you enter — your name, last period date, appointments and saved answers — is stored only on your device. We do not receive it.
- The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- You can erase all app data at any time from Profile → Reset app data.
Who we are
Garbhshree (गर्भश्री) is a pregnancy wellness app published by Ayurved Kunjika (“we”, “us”), TODO: Registered address, Pune, Maharashtra, India. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for any personal data we process. This policy applies to the Garbhshree app on Android and iOS and to this website.
Information you enter
The app only works with information you choose to type in:

Your last period date, pregnancy stage and notes to a doctor are health-related information. We treat them as sensitive and design the app so that they stay on your device.
Where your data is stored
All of the information above is stored locally in the app’s private storage on your phone. The current version of Garbhshree has no user accounts and no server that receives your personal data. We cannot see, access or recover it. If you lose or reset your phone, or uninstall the app, this data is lost.
Your device’s own backup service (for example Android Backup or iCloud) may include app data in device backups according to your device settings. Those backups are governed by Google’s or Apple’s privacy policies.
Device permissions
- Notifications, exact alarms and “run at startup” — used only to show appointment reminders you set. Reminders are scheduled on your device, and re-scheduled after a restart.
- Internet — used to download the app’s fonts. No personal data is sent with these requests. Like any internet request, the font server (Google Fonts) receives your device’s IP address.
The app does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
Purchases
Some content — stage-wise diet charts, the shloka collection and doctor consultations — is offered as optional one-time purchases. Payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms and privacy policies. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details. We may receive limited purchase information from the store (such as an order ID) to confirm what you have unlocked.
Doctor consultations
When you book a consultation, the details you enter are needed by the doctor to prepare for and hold the session. Before any of these details leave your device, we will tell you in the app which doctor or clinic receives them and ask for your consent. The doctor is responsible for any medical records they keep, in line with applicable medical and data-protection laws.
Ads, analytics & tracking
Garbhshree does not show advertisements and does not include advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell or rent personal data.
Sharing
Because your data stays on your device, we do not share it. The only exceptions are the ones you start yourself: sending booking details to a doctor with your consent, or contacting us by email. We will disclose information only where Indian law requires it.
Retention & deletion
Data stays on your device until you delete it. To erase everything, open Profile → Reset app data, or uninstall the app. If you email us, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to answer you and to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we process about you;
- correct, complete or update it (you can edit your details anytime in the app);
- erase it, and withdraw any consent you have given;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated;
- have your grievances addressed by our Grievance Officer (see below).
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Your data is stored in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read on a normal, un-rooted device. Protect your phone with a screen lock. No method of storage is completely secure, but keeping data on your device and off our servers limits what could be exposed.
Age requirement
Garbhshree is meant for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly process personal data of children. If you believe a child has used the app, you can erase its data with Reset app data.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and its fonts are self-hosted. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for a short time for security and reliability.
Changes to this policy
We plan to add features such as optional sign-in and online consultations. We will update this policy before any such feature starts collecting data, change the “Last updated” date above, and, where required by law, ask for your consent in the app.
